CF40-PIIE Economists' Forum

In early 2021, China Finance 40 Forum and the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE) launched a new joint program, the CF40-PIIE Young Economists Forum (YEF), a bimonthly closed-door event series that brings together leading scholars, policymakers and financial practitioners from China and the U.S. to explore key topics in the global economy. It is an important extension of the years-long exchange between the two leading think tanks that, while being candid, pragmatic and quality-oriented, gives emphasis to the role of young economists in bilateral policy discussions.

China-US-Europe Exchange

The China Finance 40 Forum (CF40), Euro50 Group and think tanks from North America such as the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE), Brookings Institution and the Center for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) have held joint symposiums annually since 2014. The conferences bring together senior policymakers, financial practitioners and academics from China, Europe and North America to have in-depth exchange on economic and financial issues of significance to the three regions and the world at large.

CF40-IMF Exchange

The first annual SFI-IDF-IMF closed-door seminar on Fintech in China was held in Washington D.C. on June 12, 2018. This is the first time that the IMF held a seminar on a specific industry topic and the first time Chinese experience was heard.

CF40-NRI Exchange

To promote academic exchange between Chinese and Japanese economists, CF40 and NRI has jointly held China-Japan Finance Roundtable in Beijing and Tokyo since 2012. The previous roundtables have generated productive results including reports and policy proposals, and attracted widespread attention from the economic and financial sector in the two countries.
