The 2022 Jingshan Report: The Role and Path of Finance in Promoting Common Prosperity was released by CF40 on December 17. The report examines key differences between common prosperity in China and that in Western welfare societies, deciphers the theoretical logic of financial development and common prosperity, explains the positive and negative effects of financial activities on common prosperity, and proposes policy measures and implementation paths for the financial sector to help achieve common prosperity.
The Report consists of one comprehensive report and six sub-reports. The comprehensive report addresses the role of finance in promoting common prosperity and the policy framework needed to enable this role. The six sub-reports focus on 1) how to finance high-quality development, 2) how to finance coordinated regional development, 3) how to finance common prosperity in rural areas, 4) how to build a sound capital market and expand the middle-income group, 5) the role and practice of wealth management firms and trusts in supporting common prosperity, and 6) the practice of Zhejiang Province.
